5 Things In Plym (April 12-13)

Head over to the Native Makers Market this weekend. From ceramics and textiles to printmaking, painting, woodwork and more, you’ll get the chance to browse, chat, and maybe even watch these makers in action. It’s a proper celebration of craft, creativity, and community — and a great way to support local talent doing what they love. It’s completely free to attend too!

📍 Ocean Studios, The Factory Cooperage, Royal William Yard, Plymouth

⏰ 10:00am - 4:00pm

Okay, this one sounds incredible — imagine paddling out on the water as the sun sets, then watching the full moon rise right in front of you. Dreamy, right?

There’s a guided evening paddleboarding session happening from Royal William Yard, and it’s all about soaking up the best of the natural magic Plymouth has to offer. You’ll meet at Firestone Arch, get a full safety brief from the instructors, then head out just in time for golden hour.

📍 South West SUP, Firestone Arch

⏰ 7:00pm - 9:00pm

If you're looking for a wholesome little adventure over Easter weekend, Mount Edgcumbe has you covered.

The Friends of Mount Edgcumbe Country Park are hosting an Easter Egg Hunt. You can just turn up on the day and register at Lamberts Lodge, right by the Lower Formal Gardens.

It’s £3 per child and they get an Easter Egg at the end of the trail — cute, right? A lovely way to get outdoors, explore the park, and keep the kids entertained.

Perfect for a family afternoon out — or just an excuse to go grab a chocolate egg in a scenic spot.

📍 Mount Edgcumbe Country Park, Lamberts Lodge

⏰ 11:00am - 4:00pm (last entry 3:00pm)

Looking for something epic (and free!) to do with the kids this weekend? Head to Home Park this Sunday, for a proper action-packed family day.

Meet real-life heroes like the police, fire service, RNLI, Air Ambulance and more. There’ll be CPR demos, military gear to explore, working guide dogs to fuss, and even the chance to step on board the Argyle team coach.

Plus: mini football pitch, marshmallow toasting, food & ice cream on site – and every child gets a free ticket to the Argyle Women’s game that afternoon.

📍 Plymouth Argyle Football Club, Home Park

⏰ 10:30am - 1:30pm

Grab your dancing queens – there’s a Mamma Mia Bottomless Brunch happening and it sounds like a vibe. Hosted at The Treasury, it’s 90 minutes of bottomless drinks, tasty brunch, and live entertainment from Molly Stewart & guests. Expect plenty of singalongs, sparkles, and good times.

Ages 18+ – perfect for a spring get-together with friends.

What We Found (Really) Cool

Zephyr Burger’s Sister Restaurant, Nora’s, is taking Plymouth By Storm

There's a new spot in town that’s quietly making waves already – Nora’s has only been open a few weeks, but it's already racking up the rave TripAdvisor reviews.

You’ll find it on North Hill, just a few doors up from the iconic Zephyr Burgers – and yep, it’s from the same dream team, Oz and Sheena. After nailing the burger game, they’ve now turned their attention to steaks – and from what people are saying, they’ve absolutely smashed it.

Definitely one to add to the list if you’re a steak lover.

Unbelievable food, exceptional service. Chris was fantastic with my overly chatty child! Roast dry aged sirloin today followed by dark chocolate tart, both perfect! Will be back for steaks and wine.
