5 Things In Plym (April 4-6)
🛖 Elizabethan House Reopens! (April 4)
Elizabethan House, built when Plymouth was a busy port, was restored in 2020/2021 for the Mayflower 400 celebrations. You can explore the house on your own with a self-guided tour. Staff and volunteers are available if you want to learn more. There are also audio-visual features that provide background sounds to make the rooms more interesting.
🛍️ Continental Market at Old Town Square (April 4-6)
The Plymouth City Centre Company is hosting a new event at Old Town Square, near the Old Town Street entrance to Drake Circus. There will be ten stalls offering arts, crafts, and food from different countries, such as Albanian macaroons, olives, baklava, Chinese street food, and New York cheesecake. The market will be open from 10am to 6pm for three days. On Saturday, April 5, the Manuka Groove Trio will perform live music.
🐰 Easter Adventures at Saltram (April 5-21)
Enjoy a fun Easter adventure in the lovely garden at Saltram. There are ten activity stations spread throughout the garden, ideal for families to explore together. You'll find classic games and nature-themed challenges, so there's something for everyone. Get ready for laughter, teamwork, and a bit of friendly competition.
🌊 Seaquest at Wembury Point (April 6)
Devon Wildlife Trust's Marine Engagement team is starting monthly sea watches at Wembury Point! Join them on the first Sunday each month to learn about Devon's large sea animals and look for them from Wembury Point. Local volunteers and sea watch expert, Paul Burley, will be there to help spot whales, dolphins, and sea birds from the shore and teach us about their lives and behaviors.
🍴 Good food & Craft Market (April 6)
Showcasing some of the region’s most talented artists and makers, the markets offer everything from tasty treats to handcrafted gifts. The monthly markets have been a staple of Royal William Yard’s event calendar for years, and have won event awards along the way.
